Exterior walls transfer heat and cold. We want to minimize the ratio between exterior wall area and interior space. This makes the interior temperatures easier and cheaper to control.

Saving on Build Cost
Large spans with no supporting walls underneath can be expensive to build (because of the cost of beams). Upper Level exterior walls should stack over Mian Level bearing walls to reduce the cost of construction. This and much, much more contribute to build cost per square foot. Our plans are designed to keep build-cost low.
